Best of Croatia and Bosnia & Herzegovina multi-day Tour
This tour covers all the stunning locations in Croatia and Bosnia & Herzegovina. This is our suggested itinerary, but of course, the tour can be adjusted to your time schedule and interests.
Note: the tour can be organized to end in Zagreb, Dubrovnik or Sarajevo (depending on your flight schedule).

Best of Croatia and Bosnia and Herzegovina Tour itinerary
Day 1 – Zagreb airport pick up and Zagreb walking tour
The tour starts when our driver picks you up at Zagreb airport. This way you don’t have to worry about anything. Just find a driver with your name and he will safely transfer you to your accommodation.
The day is reserved for getting to know Zagreb. Zagreb walking tour on your first day will give you a chance to get to know the city and the history. You will visit: main ban Jelačić square, Dolac market, Cathedral, Tkalčićeva street, Upper city with Stone gate and St mark’s square, Zrinjevac park…

Day 2 – Istria Tour from Zagreb
Istria is a peninsula on the northern Adriatic. It is a triangle shape, the hilly green land surrounded with beautiful blue see. Istria is known for the cities with medieval or Roman heritage and for gourmand delicacies. You can visit three cities in Istria that you think might interest you the most – we usually recommend you to choose between: Poreč, Rovinj, Pula, Hum or Motovun.

Day 3 – Plitvice lakes National park – Zadar
For sure it is pure perfection to start the day with a walk in the stunning Plitvice lakes National park. The 16 lakes and waterfalls are surrounded and crossed with wooden boardwalks that make you really feel the nature. The park is listed as UNESCO heritage.
The tour continues towards Zadar. Famous Hitchcock said it has the best sunset in the world so we will try not to miss it. Zadar is a vibrant city on the coast also listed as UNESCO heritage.

Day 4 – Zadar – Krka river national park – Šibenik – Split
The tour continues by visiting Krka river national park. The beauty of the clear water falling down the cascades is hard to describe. You will take a walk through this nature’s sanctuary.
Next is the city of Šibenik, a royal Croatian city, one of the rare ones on the coast that was founded by the Croat tribe. It is known for the St Jacob’s cathedral, also UNESCO heritage so we won’t miss that either.

Day 5 – Split (or island tour)
On the fifth day you can choose it you would like to spend some time by exploring the city or you would like to take a boat tour to the islands.

Day 6 – Split – Ston – Dubrovnik
You will go from Split to Dubrovnik by car and you have more than enough time for sightseeing along the way. You can stop at the city of Ston and see the famous city walls and salt fields and taste the oysters or you want to explore wineries on the Pelješac peninsula.

Day 7 – Dubrovnik
We left the whole day just for Dubrovnik. The city is unique and there is so much to see. After the organized walking tour you can add some activities like walk on the city walls, take the cable car to Srđ mountain to see the city from above or visit the Lokrum island…

Day 8 – Dubrovnik – Blagaj – Počitelj – Mostar – Sarajevo
The return towards Zagreb goes through Bosnia and Herzegovina. On the first day you spend in the country you will visit Blagaj and the famous tekke monastery, Počitelj and Mostar with the famous bridge connecting east and west.

Day 9 – Sarajevo
Explore the city of Sarajevo and try some of the local Bosnian specialties. Sarajevo history is filled with war and sadness, but Sarajevo nowadays opens up to all visitors making their stay really memorable. We have organized a Sarajevo walking tour for you.

Day 10 – Sarajevo – Travnik – Jajce – Bihać
On the route from Sarajevo to Bihać there is a lot to see and experience. We will take you to the city of Travnik, one the important city for the Western part of the Ottoman empire and Jajce, declared as a National Monument of Bosnia and Herzegovina and placed on UNESCO Tentative List.
Overnight Bihać.
Day 11 – Bihać (Una river) – Zagreb
On the last day of the tour we will take you to explore the Una river national park and then you will return to Zagreb.
