Upon arrival at Ljubljana Airport, you will be transferred to your accommodation. After you get a bit of rest, you will meet your guide to do a basic walking tour in the city center. Ljubljana is a small capital but the streets are full of people, bars events… The city is famous for it’s bridges and the cool thing is that you can explore the city on foot. You will leave the capital and you will go exploring the Slovenia’s natural and historical gems. First stop is Postojna cave. This geological phenomenon attracts millions. The cave is one of the longest touristic caves in the world and its rich galleries are simply fascinating. Besides the stalactites and stalagmites it’s famous for the baby dragon, proteus or the human fish, that lives inside.
After the cave you will visit Predjama cave, the best preserved cave castle in the world and hear all the legends.
Next stop is the Lake Bled, a glacial lake in the Julian Alps, where you have several options – boat ride on the lake, a visit to the only island in Slovenia or a stunning view from the Bled castle.
Why not use this perfect opportunity and visit an additional country – Croatia. A day tour from Ljubljana to Zagreb and Plitvice Lakes national park. Zagreb is also a small city where the central Europe meets Mediterranean. A short walk will give you an opportunity to see all the famous Zagreb sights.
The tour continues to Plitvice Lakes national park – 16 Lakes connected with waterfalls are listed on the UNESCO heritage list. The colors of this park, at any time of the year, are just mesmerizing.
