ZAGREB CABLE-CAR – ZAGREB FUNICULAR
Zagreb cable-car, also known as Zagreb funicular, connects Upper and Lower Zagreb. In history, an entrepreneur named Klein saw that most of the people in Zagreb use this route to get to the Upper city. So he got the idea to build the cablecar, similar to or European cities. It is known as the shortest public cable railway in the world with tracks only 66m long. Official, it started functioning in 1893. At first it was a steam car and today it’s electric.
